Guard Vs Chaos (Nurgle)

Craig is running an Epidemius list with Nurgle marines , Evan is running his guard with commander Pask and some Rough riders. Were working on getting a video battle report together hopefully by next month.  All you need to know about the following is Craig reached max tally by turn 3 and it was hopeless for the guard from then on.

 Hey guys.... ChaosCraig here again to talk about plague marines.  These guys are here

to put the icky back in the stickey. The models I use in this squad are Forgeworld plague marine upgrade kits and the Herald of nurgle that is provided along side the mamon model. I think the worm is one of my favorite models in the whole army.I like to use unique models like this in my squads because it adds a little flavor to the rotten mix.

 

Well lets get to the "tactical" part of my article. T5. let me repeat that....T5. makes most small firearms all but useless against my marines. And yes you can make tactical squads toughness 5 the plague marines bring so much more to the table. The "improved" feel no pain now shrugs off power weapons...fists thunderhammers and whatnot. I play an epidemius list and once they get 3+armor and 3+ feel no pain its usually game over. They also have plague knives. 4+  poison in C.C. is nasty. dont forget you get to re-roll to wound anything t4 or less. Couple that with vets of the long war and your crusading through marines with re-rolls to hit and wound.  Good luck with that Loyalists. You shouldve turned to Nurgle long ago.

Chaos craig here to continue my ongoing super boner with the mark of nurgle.

So I painted this guy up the other day and i must say.....he is not looking good. He is so sick only the Black mace itself is holding those guys in.  The black mace is my favorite new toy in the codex and no....Hes not a daemon prince but it is still very effective. I have no problem running him into paladins when backed up by plaguemarines. I really have no problem runnin him into a dreadknight either if necessity is great enough. I do tend to keep him in a land raider. Boo Hiss a landraider....I know.

This army is coming along very well and i can't wait for adepticon!

Hey guys, Chaos Craig here to talk about my currents obcession....Papa Nurgle.

The new chaos codex is upon us and just like loyd "I desperatly want to make love to a school- (nurgling)" I decided to start with the addition of plague bearers to my ranks. What isnt to like about these guys....T5 feel no pain and oh yeah.....5+ invul? Most people are using them as objective campers but dont forget that you can use them to aggressivly put pressure on small heavy weapons teams,units of gaurd,fire warriors etc. Or switch it up as.....a bunker for epidemius.

Poison is much better in 6th edition because of the re-roll to wound. couple that with the plague marines and suck it t5 and t6 lists and suck it even more t3 pussies.

For a kit this cheap games workshop has really outdone itself on this one. I have extra heads, 10 nurglings and tons of random bits like gut piles. I have never had so much fun painting my models as i did this one. You can tell by the facial expressions that they had a blast being painted as if i was tickling them with my brush. I still have to finish the plagueswords and bases and I cant wait.

So who else has been smitten by nurgle and what are you doin to please him?
